about

This is actually a mixture of two songs that were written between the 2001 and 2008. The chorus came to my head over a year ago. This song was literally on my heart for quite some time. Have you ever had that happen? You feel like there's a song you need to sing or a prayer you need to pray or something you need to say and it just isn't coming to you. That's what this one was for me, I just couldn't get it out. So, finally I just started to sing, "Sing it out." And, I felt like my heart was like, "You finally got it."

But, I couldn't match it up with a good verse idea. Then one day I was remembering a verse I had written back when i was in college. Then poof: Sing it Out.

Another side note: the melody was written before the lyrics were put into place, even before LeeAnna and I found out we were having Ashlynn. Finally, when it came time to put some lyrics down, we were expecting our first baby girl. God just kind of burdened my heart with this idea of the love of father's for their daughters. Thus the line, "Let the daughter's sing of the Father's love." Sorry guys, guess I'll have to have a son before I start singing about sons and daughters.

lyrics

Verse 1
Let the hope spring up
Let the blind man see
Let the dead man rise
Let the slave go free
Let the daughter's sing of the father's love
Let the people dance to the one above

Chorus
Sing it out
Our love has come to save
Our hope is here to stay
Our God is on His way

Bridge:
He is holy
He is worthy
Lamb of God and King of Kings
